Power in the collective

Blås & Knåda is a cooperative space and gallery for ceramicists and glass artists in Stockholm, Sweden. It was set up in 1975 as a way for artists to share costs, knowledge and experience. 50 år av kollektiv kraft (50 years of collective power) was made to celebrate Blås & Knåda’s 50th anniversary. The book mixes archive material and memories with new photography and essays about materiality and the importance of working together. The title is a play on Kraft – the Swedish word for power and the english word Craft.
